Lynne Cheney, hard as nails

Butter wouldn't melt in Lynne's mouth (and I mean that in the sense of being well-behaved, not innocent). Terry Gross pressed her quite a few times about same-sex marriage and the fact that she and Dick disagree with Dubya re the amendment. She didn't flinch, stuck to her message ("Terry, I've already said I don't agree with a constitutional amendment, and that's all I'm going to say") answering evenly every time. I think Terry was a little flustered. But who could blame her? Lynne's lesbian bodice-ripper is quite apart from her button-downed mien today.
