Caruso's new book on biotech risk

My old friend Denise Caruso is now stumping for her new book, Intervention, which tackles the heretofore unknown challenges of biotech adventurism (and also the unknown outcomes!). She's featured in a helpful Q&A on Alternet today. here's a good snippet:
"...industry people today who do research are often doing discovery research, not risk research. They want to create a product. They want to build the tightest fence possible around the problem and say that what’s inside the fence is safe. But, of course, that’s not how the world works. No organism moves around in the world with a little bubble over it."
You can say that again. (And she probably will.) Anyway, now I have the book and look forward to her usual thoughtful writing.
